The event welcomed esteemed guests from the world of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), including academicians and nationally honored TCM masters, along with a distinguished group of overseas representatives. Among them was Professor Shulan Tang, Principal of Shulan College of TCM in the UK, who returned to celebrate this milestone with her alma mater. During the ceremony, Chen Zhu, Vice Chair of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered a video message. He praised NJUCM’s dedication over the past 70 years in cultivating TCM talents of global renown and advancing traditional Chinese culture. Chen encouraged NJUCM to uphold its motto of "Confidence and Dedication" as it aims to establish itself as a world-class institution in TCM. Following his remarks, alumni representatives read congratulatory messages, and students and faculty spanning three generations recited a commemorative tribute, "Seventy Years of Youthful Spirit."
